Slide Landing is a movement glitch that briefly allows the player to slide forward/backward after falling, executing a buffered jump at the end of the slide.

Instructions

  1. Fall off of a ledge, either straight down or while jumping.
  2. Hold Forward or Backward in the air, and spam Jump just before landing.
  3. If timed correctly, your character will slide forward/backward and then automatically jump at the end of the slide.

Additional Notes

  • There is only one instance of this tech being useful so far. In the Observatory, hit the button to open the big elevator doors and fall onto the platform. Execute a Slide Land to fall below the elevator and land right next to the turn wheel to turn off the steam.
  • This slide ignores slope physics, allowing for moving uphill at a faster speed very briefly.
  • Unlike a normal Walk Slide, this version does not require Walk Mode to be on.

Mechanics
