Enemy Push Clipping is a glitch that allows you to clip through walls and objects by getting pushed by an enemy's thrust attack. This clipping method is one of the most effective and allows for massive sequence breaks, at the cost of being very situational and somewhat inconsistent.

Instructions

  1. Position yourself between a wall/object and an enemy. Face away from the wall and back into it to get as close as possible.
  2. Spam sheathe/unsheathe repeatedly to avoid taking damage from enemy attacks, making sure your sword is put away when you see the enemy go for a lunge attack.
  3. If the position of the enemy is perpendicular enough to the wall/object and your sword is not out, the lunge will push you straight through.

Additional Notes

  • This trick can be fairly RNG heavy in terms of getting the right angle and waiting for the lunge attack.
  • This clipping method allows for several notable sequence breaks:
    • The Goblin Cave password door can be clipped through on the wrong side using the nearby goblin, allowing for getting to Kithral's Journal via the teleporter to save time. (Discovered by MeemawHustlin)
    • The Dwarven Ruins can be skipped almost entirely by using a guard to clip through the door to the boss room in the main hub area. This is sometimes called Dane Skip. (Discovered by zach)
    • You can clip straight to the treasure room during the catacombs escape. (Discovered by Gizmovor)

Mechanics

CatPiss.png This glitch requires further research to fully understand its mechanics. Some information in this section is currently speculation.

Although facing with your back to the wall seems to work better, this clipping method does work facing other directions. It is unknown how much more effective facing backwards is. You tend to slide along walls less drastically when your back is to them, which may be part of the reason.

This glitch appears to have few limits as to what walls and objects the player can be pushed through, allowing for falling out of bounds and getting past mostly any wall/object you can lure an enemy to.
