'''Arrow Duping''' is a glitch that allows you to duplicate an item into several copies of itself when dropped by manipulating a stack of arrows. Note that this glitch was eventually patched and does not work in the current version of the game.

==Instructions==

# Attack and immediately open your inventory attack mid-animation.
# Without exiting the inventory, equip and attempt to unequip a stack of arrows representing the amount of an item you want to dupe.
# Exit the inventory and the chosen item will be dropped in a stack the size of the arrow stack.

==Additional Notes==

* You can repeat step 2 of the instructions repeatedly while in the inventory to dupe multiple items at once.
* This glitch will not work on certain items, including weapons/armor that have been damaged/repaired.
* It is faster and less laggy to dupe a stack of an item rather than a single item when duping up to a large quantity. Try duping a single item with a smaller arrow stack first, and then dupe that larger stack of that item again with a larger arrow stack. Duping a single item with a 200+ arrow stack may crash the game.

This glitch seems to work due to a stack count variable being set upon unequipping a stack of arrows. It appears that unequipping arrows is treated similarly to selecting a quantity of item to drop, so by attempting to unequip arrows and then immediately dropping another item, the game skips the popup asking to select an amount to drop and instead uses the arrow stack value instead. A thorough examination of the code would be required to understand more about how this works.

Arrow Duping is a glitch that allows you to duplicate an item into several copies of itself when dropped by manipulating a stack of arrows. Note that this glitch was eventually patched and does not work in the current version of the game.

Instructions

  1. Attack and immediately open your inventory attack mid-animation.
  2. Without exiting the inventory, equip and attempt to unequip a stack of arrows representing the amount of an item you want to dupe.
  3. Exit the inventory and the chosen item will be dropped in a stack the size of the arrow stack.

Additional Notes

  • You can repeat step 2 of the instructions repeatedly while in the inventory to dupe multiple items at once.
  • This glitch will not work on certain items, including weapons/armor that have been damaged/repaired.
  • It is faster and less laggy to dupe a stack of an item rather than a single item when duping up to a large quantity. Try duping a single item with a smaller arrow stack first, and then dupe that larger stack of that item again with a larger arrow stack. Duping a single item with a 200+ arrow stack may crash the game.

Mechanics

CatPiss.png This glitch requires further research to fully understand its mechanics. Some information in this section is currently speculation.
