The Perma Arena Gate Lowering Glitch is a glitch where the Arena Gate stays open between fights, allowing the player to kill each combatant from a distance without having to wait for the announcer to finish his speech first.

Instructions

  1. Using a combination of Save Clipping and Natural Clipping, kill the current Arena combatant and make your way back to the Bloodworks door before the announcer has lowered the gates. See the video tutorial to see exactly how to do this.
  2. Stand by the door and look back at the gate. As soon as the gate visibly starts to lower, go through the door.
  3. Quicksave inside the Bloodworks, then go back through the door to re-enter the Arena.
  4. Quickload back into the Bloodworks.
  5. If performed correctly, the gate will now be lowered for all future fights.

Additional Notes

  • If you don't finish a fight fast enough before the announcer's speech is finished, the gate lowering script will activate again, raising the gate for future fights.
  • This glitch does not work for the Grand Champion fight.
  • For some reason, if you perform the first setup fight too quickly, the Arena Gate seems to never lower in the first place. This may have something to do with the timing of when Quicksaves and Quickloads are made.
  • See the Combat page for ways to kill combatants quickly.

Mechanics

CatPiss.png This glitch requires further research to fully understand its mechanics. Some information in this section is currently speculation.

The Arena Gate likely has a script tied to it that can be examined, but we have not located this script yet. This glitch seems to somehow bypass the part of the script that sets the gate to be raised again. It is unclear why the Quicksave/Quickload steps are necessary.
