Resurrection is a glitch that revives the player as they are dying, resulting in having 0 HP and being able to climb slopes that normally would make you slide down them.

Instructions

  1. Die from an enemy attack, fall damage, etc. Ideally, you should be in an area where you will not repeatedly instantly die.
  2. Quicksave with F9 during the death animation. Reload the quicksave when the popup for it appears.
  3. You will now have no health, and can continue playing the game like normal. Slopes that previously would make you slide down them can now be climbed freely.

Additional Notes

  • The slope climbing effect of this glitch is actually the most significant aspect of it, potentially allowing the player to go anywhere on the map freely.
    • You can run up the sloped walls in the final Palace courtyard to get to the airship faster. (Discovered by winston)
    • You can activate the glitch to stand on a slope that has a desired Terrain Zip that is normally inaccessible. (Discovered by winston)
  • This can be repeated over and over again, surviving several deadly falls in a row or powering through a fight without needing to heal.
  • Although very slow, you can use this glitch to traverse instant kill zones, like squid attacks. (Discovered by Lomig)

Mechanics

CatPiss.png This glitch requires further research to fully understand its mechanics. Some information in this section is currently speculation.

Your health stays at 0 HP when you resurrect, resulting in the player dying to one hit from anything. Consuming health potions will raise your health back above 0 while keeping the slope walking effect.

The exact mechanics of the slope walking effect are currently unknown, but there appears to be situations where a slope will not let you walk up it even with the glitch active. After resurrecting, it seems like you may have to walk down a sliding slope to activate the ability to move freely on them, and by walking on normal ground, the glitch deactivates until you slide down another slope. Going through loading zones will disable the slope walking glitch, although you will stay alive at 0 HP.

There are claims that this glitch also allows you to walk on water with your sword out, but this is unconfirmed.
