Current Best Route
Quest stages are indicated in parentheses at the end of each step when they are updated. Keep in mind that these optimized steps are within the context of the 100% speedrun route, meaning that certain items and setups are sometimes assumed to have already been performed prior to the start of the quest.
- In Cloud Ruler Temple, acquire the Tamika Vintage 399 and Surilie Brothers Vintage 399 wine bottles upstairs next to the bed in the main bedroom. (You must already be a member of the Blades for these to not count as stolen.)
- Cast a spell to boost your Alchemy to 70+ and immediately talk to Ardaline in the Bravil Mages Guild.
- ↳ Training. (10)
- Fast travel to Skingrad to enter the West Weald Inn.
- Enter the basement and talk to Sinderion.
- ↳ Training.
- ↳ Training. (✔ 100)
Bugs
Currently there are no known bugs associated with this quest that affect the 100% route.
Route Logic Considerations
- The Tamika Vintage 399 and Surilie Brothers Vintage 399 should be acquired before visiting Sinderion for the first time to prevent backtracking. Ideally these items should not have the stolen flag to avoid losing them throughout the run up to the point that this quest is completed. The Cloud Ruler Temple West Wing is an ideal location to acquire these items since both bottles are right next to each other (along with Cyrodilic Brandy, which is needed for Sanguine) and do not count as stolen if you've joined the Blades. You can join the Blades right after completing Weynon Priory, so you should complete that quest before this one.
- Sinderion can be killed to complete this quest, but he is kept alive in order to finish his other quest, Seeking Your Roots. We should probably kill him right after finishing that quest to make this one faster, but we have not tested this yet.
