Oblivion:Greater Powers
Greater Powers are the eight unique spells the player must acquire from Heaven Stones and Wayshrines as per the requirements for 100% completion.
Overview
There are eight total Greater Powers that need to be acquired, which are obtained from the following sources:
- Seven of the powers are obtained from a Heaven Stone, with each power only have one stone on the map that it can be obtained from.
- One power, Pilgrim's Grace, is obtained by completing the Pilgrimage of the Nine Divines, which requires the player to visit all nine of the Wayshrines, with each wayshrine having multiple possible locations.
Wayshrines can only be activated if the player has at least 1 Fame, and Heaven Stones can only be activated if it is between 6pm and 6am and the player has enough combined Fame and Infamy. This combined value is called Renown, and the required amount is different for each Heaven Stone. Note that you do not need to be hit by the spell the Wayshrines shoot at you for that Wayshrine to count towards the Pilgrimage.
Here is a list of all nine of the Wayshrines required to obtain Pilgrim's Grace, along with their nearest locations:

Previous Methods
Version 1 to 3
In the first three versions of the route, Wayshrines were acquired all at once during Map Exploration, and Heaven Stones were acquired separately just before starting the Skill Grind since we would be guaranteed to have enough Renown by the end of the run.
Current Method
As of Version 4, Wayshrines and Heaven Stones are acquired during other route logic when they are nearby. In most cases, we have enough Renown to get each Heaven Stone as we go to its nearest location during certain quests. Refer to the chart above for more info.
Wayshrines were going to be used to improve Map Exploration via the Crack Horse glitch, but this has since been obsoleted by Spell Stacking.
Potential Improvements
- The Jode Stone, Sithian Stone, Atherius Stone, and Dragon Stone all have to be acquired arbitrarily by fast traveling to a nearby location. Ideally, these would be collected during other quests.
- We have too low of Renown when we go to Bleak Flats cave during Skingrad Recommendation, forcing us to backtrack there later.
- We have too low of Renown when we go to Lake Arrius Caverns during Dagon Shrine, forcing another backtrack there later.
- In general, Heaven Stones interfere with the scheduling of other quests since we have to wait until night time to activate them, while most quests are done during the day. Optimizing wait times via Time Warping will likely solve this problem.
- It may potentially save more time to round up all the Heaven Stones at once in a way that no wait time manipulation is required if no tech is discovered to optimize waiting.
