Current Best Route

Quest stages are indicated in parentheses at the end of each step when they are updated. Keep in mind that these optimized steps are within the context of the 100% speedrun route, meaning that certain items and setups are sometimes assumed to have already been performed prior to the start of the quest.

  1. In A Fighting Chance in the Market District, cast a spell to boost Armorer to 70+ and immediately talk to Rohsaan.

Bugs

Currently there are no known bugs associated with this quest that affect the 100% route.

Route Logic Considerations

  • Gin-Wulm can technically be killed for this quest, but we already have to read The Armorer's Challenge [Armorer] since it is a skill book, so the time difference is insignificant. It is faster to kill Gin-Wulm since the skill book is also in the Cheydinhal Fighters guild, which also saves an additional trip to talk to Phintias, but this has not been tested yet.
  • Like all the Master Training quests, the actual Master Trainer needs to be alive prior to starting the quest in order to be able to complete it.
  • Rohssan in A Fighting Chance in the Market District and Rasheda in Fire and Steel in Chorrol are both able to start this quest. Both NPCs need to be invested in anyway, so the more optimal one will be situational depending on route logic. Rohssan seems like she will almost always be the ideal choice given that she is in the same general area as Gin-Wulm.

10 To train further in my Armorer study, I must speak with Gin-Wulm in the Imperial City's Market District.
20 I must find the answer to Gin-Wulm's question: "What does the name Hazadir mean to you?" He hinted that a book in the shop First Edition may have the answer.
100 I have answered Gin-Wulm's question, and he has agreed to train me.
200 Gin-Wulm is dead. I can receive no further training in my Armorer skill.
