Current Best Route
Quest stages are indicated in parentheses at the end of each step when they are updated. Keep in mind that these optimized steps are within the context of the 100% speedrun route, meaning that certain items and setups are sometimes assumed to have already been performed prior to the start of the quest.
- In the Bravil Mages Guild, with your Mysticism boosted to 70+ (using Class Reset in current route logic), talk to Ita Rienus.
- ↳ Training (10)
- Close three Oblivion Gates. (See the Oblivion Gates page for tips.)
- Fast travel to the Leyawiin Mages Guild and talk to Dagail.
- ↳ Training (✔ 100)
Bugs
Currently there are no known bugs associated with this quest that affect the 100% route.
Route Logic Considerations
- Dagail is essential, so killing her is not an option. This means you have to have closed at least three Oblivion Gates before you can finish this quest. Doing this quest after the Oblivion Gate closing portion of the route is ideal.
- Dagail is unable to talk to you in order to finish this quest until you have completed Leyawiin Recommendation. Route logic will likely never result in a situation where this recommendation is completed after closing three Oblivion Gates, so Mysticism Training is best completed when you return to the Leyawiin Mages Guild later to turn in Tears of the Savior and advance Whom Gods Annoy.
- Like all the Master Training quests, the actual Master Trainer needs to be alive prior to starting the quest in order to be able to complete it.
- Ita Rienus in the Bravil Mages Guild and Boderi Farano in the Arcane University can both start this quest. Ita Rienus has spells we need to purchase, but this happens too early in the route to have our Mysticism at 70+, and Boderi Farano has no route logic. Ita Rienus' schedule puts her in a more consistent spot, and we need to go back to the Bravil Mages Guild to turn in Bravil Recommendation and advance More Unfinished Business, making her the ideal NPC to get this training quest from.
